This policy explains what personal information Pooched Paws collects through this website, why, and what we do with it.

Who we are

What we collect and why

When you request a groom or send us a message. We ask for your name, email address and telephone number, the service you’re interested in, your dog’s size and a message about your dog. We use this only to reply to you and arrange your appointment. We use Brevo to email your enquiry to us and send you a confirmation, and Brevo keeps a record of your enquiry. We don’t add you to any marketing list unless you sign up for our newsletter.

When you sign up for our newsletter. We ask for your email address. We use Mailchimp to send the newsletter, and you’ll be asked to confirm your sign-up by email first. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.

When you call, email or message us on WhatsApp or Facebook. We use the details you give us to reply and to manage your bookings.

Cookies and measurement

We don’t use cookies on this website. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and measure how quickly our pages load. It doesn’t use cookies or collect personal data. We also count, anonymously, when someone taps our phone number, email, WhatsApp, booking, directions, social media or review links, or sends an enquiry. This only records which link or button was used, on which page and when. It doesn’t record your IP address, your device or anything you type. When you send an enquiry, we use Brevo to email it to us and send you a confirmation.

Our map only loads if you choose “Show map”. Google Maps may then set cookies, under Google’s own privacy policy. Our booking form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that it’s being sent by a person rather than a robot.

We never sell your information. We only share it with the services that help us run this website and reply to you: Cloudflare (website hosting and spam protection), Brevo (enquiry emails) and Mailchimp (newsletter). Some of these companies may handle data outside the UK, under safeguards that UK data protection law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry, your bookings and our legal obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, or object to how we use it. Where you’ve given consent (for example, to receive our newsletter), you can withdraw it at any time. Email [email protected] and we’ll help.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page.
